Weekly Art Critique Sessions

Get personalized painting feedback and learn from real student critiques — every week.

Join my Weekly Art Critique Sessions, where I review student paintings live and share clear, practical guidance you can apply right away. Each session is one hour of focused feedback, encouragement, and inspiration — perfect for improving your portraits, landscapes, and color work.

Whether you submit your own painting or just watch and learn, you’ll see how small changes can transform a piece. These sessions are an extension of my online painting classes and part of our growing learning community on Patreon.

How the critique sessions work

  1. Join on Patreon — Members in the $24+ tier can submit their paintings for review.
  2. Submit your work — Send one image before Tuesday night (any medium: oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor).
  3. Watch live every Wednesday — I host a one-hour live critique session
  4. Learn at your own pace — All sessions are recorded and available for replay.

If you’re in a lower tier, you can still watch and learn from every critique — a great way to grow your eye for composition, color, and value.

What you’ll gain

  • Honest, kind, and constructive feedback from a professional portrait painter
  • Insight into color harmony, edges, composition, and expression
  • Motivation to keep painting and improving every week
  • A welcoming community of artists learning together

Why painting critiques matter

Getting personal feedback is one of the fastest ways to grow as an artist. A critique helps you see what’s working, what can improve, and how to express your ideas more confidently. These sessions are designed to make you feel supported and inspired — never judged.
